The little toy balloon puffs up full size and Mango the parrot calls hop in. Kangaroos and koalas, a toucan, a sleepy sloth, a camel, an octopus, a giraffe. Mango copies them all and tumbles every time, until he finds his own wings.
Good for: Ages 2 to 6. For the one who asks what, why and where.
Look inside the book
Every page of the sample book, as it is printed. Swipe to turn the pages, tap to read.
In your book, your child is on every page, with their own name.
What happens in this book?
Your child is the hero from the first page to the last. Their real face in every picture, their name in every rhyme. Page one is your dedication, in your own words and signed with your name. A hidden friend hides on every page for the second read.
Can I see a free preview?
Yes. Add one photo and their name and you see real pages with their face in about a minute. Nothing to pay until you have seen it and chosen softcover or hardcover.
Is the photo safe?
The photo is used for one thing: making this book. Your photo is deleted automatically 24 hours after you order — preview or book — and we never sell or share it. Read our photo policy.
Shipping and delivery
Printed in your own region, so no customs and no waiting on a boat. Most books arrive within a week. Gift dates and cut-offs are on our delivery page.
Format and quality
Square, 20 by 20 cm (8 by 8 inches), 30 pages inside. Softcover or thick hardcover, matte paper that survives sticky fingers. A real person checks every book before it prints, and you have 24 hours after ordering to change a name, a spelling or the dedication.
Will it arrive in one piece?
It ships in a rigid book-wrap box: stiff card cut to the exact size of the book and folded tight around it, so nothing slides and the corners are covered. Not a padded envelope — corners are where books get damaged in transit, and that is what the box is built around.
If one ever turns up damaged, send a photo. We reprint and ship a new one free, and you keep the damaged copy.

“What I check first is the wobbly page: is the scared moment named, is the child allowed to feel it, and is there a small step and a second try? Here at Dot and Moon, yes.”
